A Legacy of Getting the Job Done

It all started back in 1965, when the Cook family launched Cooks Lawn Service in sunny Orlando, Florida. Just five years later, they opened Cooks Mower Sales, laying the groundwork for what would become a regional powerhouse.

The game-changer? In 1983, we bought 180 mowers from a small Southern manufacturer — and suddenly, we weren’t just selling mowers… we were distributing them. That bold move sparked the launch of Cooks Power Equipment Distributors, Inc. in 1987, and we haven’t looked back since.
